Note: The bus and ferry schedules may change before our crawl date. They haven’t posted the times for some of the boat and bus runs yet. We’ll have to check closer to the date. Use your own discretion and make plans accordingly.
Alan’s reworked the WSB Seattle tour to reduce bus fare totals, still hitting the same places, but in slightly different order. This way we’ll want some small bills and change to pay cash on the bus, then we get transfers that should be good for 2 hours, but are often cut for 2.5 hours. If you’re using the ORCA card you often get cheated and it charges you a new fare after only 1.5 hours. Now we can get by with two bus fares, or three if you don’t want to walk down to the ferry from the last stop of the night.
Rendezvous at Old Stove Brewing
Brouwer’s or Schilling Cider House or Fremont Brewing
Teku Tavern (and/or Bambino’s)
Chuck’s CD
The PineBox (and /or Stoup)
The Stumbling Monk
Bus fares are $2.75 for 2 hours, or $8 day pass added to your ORCA card. You can buy ORCA cards online, or at kiosks at the bike barn near the Bainbridge ferry, or at the kiosk at the Bremerton Transportation Center. You can add your day pass online or at those kiosks or at any light rail station in Seattle.
11:30 Rendezvous at Old Stove Brewing at the north end of Pike Market. Or they can catch up with us in Fremont or Teku or Chuck’s CD.

Maybe a 10:25 from Bainbridge, 10:50 fast ferry from Bremerton, so most folks probably can get to Old Stove by 11:30 , or they might hit the city later and opt to go straight to Fremont. We’ll poll our signed up tourists ahead of time. Others can catch us based on our stops, or catch up by calling some of us.
11:30 or 12:00 – Walk up to 3rd Avenue and catch the #28 or #40 out to downtown Fremont. From there people can opt to hit Brouwer’s (3-4 blocks from downtown Fremont bus stop, or 1 block from #28 stop), or Schilling Cider House (1 block from downtown Fremont bus stop) or Fremont Brewing (3-4 blocks worth of walking). We try to catch a #28 or #40 bus back towards Teku by the end of our 2 hour transfers.

2:30 or so – Hang out at Teku for a while, and/or Bambino’s a couple blocks away (I’ll check what’s on tap at Bambino’s before or during the tour). People might want to bring backpacks if they want to buy beer to go (here or at Chuck’s CD). Teku has one of the best selections of packaged beers in the city, and also loads of great taps.

3:30-4 – Catch the #2 up to Chuck’s CD at 20th&Union. Another great bottle shop/pub.

5-5:30ish – Take the #2 (within our 2 hour transfer window) down to Broadway then hoof it to the PineBox or Stoup, then The Stumbling Monk (TSM doesn’t open ’til 6PM). Can walk between those two places 6-8 blocks?). Rob at The Stumbling Monk won’t allow his tap list online, and chases people out if they try to take a picture of the taps chalkboard.

We can walk down to the ferry from either of those, or take the #10 down from TSM, or the #11 down from The PineBox. Bremerton fast ferry departures on Saturdays might be around 7:30, 8;50, 10:10, and 11:30PM. The slow boat to Bremerton will offer other times. Bainbridge departures will change soon, so we’ll want to check before our tour.
